Job Summary:-
We are looking for a Software Tester Intern with a basic understanding of testing concepts and tools. The candidate will assist in executing test cases, identifying bugs, and helping ensure product quality. During the internship, you’ll work closely with the development team on live projects to gain hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities/Activities:-
- Perform basic functional and non-functional testing of software applications.
- Help create and execute simple test cases based on project requirements.
- Identify and report bugs or issues using bug-tracking tools.
- Work with developers and team members to understand and fix issues.
- Assist in regression testing to check that new updates don’t affect existing features.
- Learn and follow best practices in software testing. *
- Provide suggestions to improve software quality.
- Get exposure to both manual and basic automation testing.
Requirements:-
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and techniques
- Familiarity with manual testing and bug-reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Asana)
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and UI/UX concepts (Figma preferred)
- Understanding of REST APIs and how they work
- Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket (added advantage)
- Must have own laptop
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the software testing field
